Lionel Messi won the Ballon D'or for the fifth time in his career and in the past 7 years Messi was only beaten twice by closest rival Cristiano Ronaldo - CR7 winning the Ballon D'or in 2013 and 2014.With 41.3 per cent - Messi won his fifth Ballon D'or this year in front of Cristiano who finished 2nd and Neymar 3rd.

Luis Enrique won Coach of the year because his amazing management payed off in 2015 after he guided Barcelona of winning 5 Trophies in a calendar year.

The FIFA Women's Player Of The Year was awarded to American Carli Lloyd after her astonishing performance in the Women's World Cup Final in which she scored a hat-trick.
