Paul Scholes : Manchester United Lack " Real Leaders "

Manchester United has had a quite awful season so far despite still competing for at least 2 trophies but LVG has make little difference after his team lost in the first leg of Round 16 of Europa League on Thursday night.

For so many years Man Utd has been completely dominant playing against any opponent in either domestic or european competition but in recent 3-4 years Man Utd is no where near of being the dominant side when playing against their opponent.

Paul Scholes believes that Man Utd does not have real leaders in their current squad.
Paul Scholes said : "I don't think there are many real leaders in there, "he said. "Chris Smalling? The goalkeeper [David de Gea]?

"They possibly could be captains but are they real Manchester United captains? How is Juan Mata captain? He's a good player and had a good month, but captain of Manchester United?

"Fellaini isn't someone you can play through. He played [against Liverpool] for one reason: so they could smash the ball up to him and didn't have to play through midfield.

"If you play Fellaini you can only play one way. You have to smash it up to him. That isn't Manchester United. That should never, ever be Manchester United. But, where we are, it is."
